Both USW & Teesside are among the best institutions in the United Kingdom, & as a result, are highly competitive to get into. The University of South Wales acceptance rate stands at around 20%, suggesting the institute is very selective at granting admissions. The acceptance rate of Teesside University is around 31%

Thus it can be inferred that the University of Teesside is relatively easier to secure admissions at than USW, however, interested candidates must perform extremely well in respective academics to have a chance of admission at either institute.

The University previously used to have seven campuses: of which five were in Manchester, namely: Didsbury, Elizabeth Gaskell, Hollings, Aytoun & All Saints & two in Cheshire: Alsager & Crewe.

However, the institute later shut down operations at six of the seven locations, with all university operations moving to the main city centre campus, located on Crewe Green Road, Greater Manchester, UK.
