Yes, University of Iowa chooses to be test optional for international students and does not require any additional test scores. Students who completed their secondary school outside the United States are not required to submit test score of ACT/SAT for undergraduate admission. Also there is no test score (GRE/GMAT) required for graduate admission, but can strengthen your application for admission and scholarship eligibility.

As per the official information by the University of Iowa, it is not really mandatory to apply with a SAT score. The students can sumbit the application without it. Although, if the students voluntarily wish to do it the can as it enhances the overall student profile and also raises the admission chances.

Students can aim for a University of Iowa SAT score of around 1250 to 1350 as its considered really good.

The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) General Test is required for graduate admission at the University of Iowa for international students. For some programs, the GRE test score is not required for admission nor at any point during the program, but can strengthen your application for admission and scholarship eligibility.
