Paul D. Boyer, a Biochemist by profession, & also the recipient of a Nobel Prize in Chemistry, is known to have pursued his studies form the institute.
Philo Farnsworth known for being inventor of the electronic television, & Harvey Fletcher, inventor of the hearing aid are some other notable individuals to have pursued their studies at BYU.

Yes, majority of the first year students live as part of university maintained on campus residence halls.
The Brigham Young University takes care of all essential accommodation facilities such as food, gym, sports grounds, recreational halls, TV lounges, security & Wi-Fi among other things.
Some students (mostly seniors) are known to live as part of off-campus accommodation facilities around the university campus.

The Brigham Young University acceptance rate of 69% makes it fairly selective at admitting students. The institute is only known to accept about 6.9 applications for every 10 it receives.
In comparison, University of Southern Mississippi, has an acceptance rate of about 99%, which makes it much easier to secure admissions at than BYU.

The minimum GPA students must attain for a seat at Brigham Young Uni is 3.0. on a 4.0. scale. Prospective students must also satisfy the university other admission requirements including submission of valid test scores & some personal documents for identity verification purposes.
Students must also abide by the terms & conditions of studying at the institute which includes the Honor Code Agreement & Ecclesiastical Endorsement.
