The University of Vermont is known for being part of the the oldest institutions in United States' history, having first opened its doors back in 1791.
It was the first higher education institution to declare public support for freedom of religion & was also the first university to grant admissions to African-American & women students into Phi Beta Kappa.

It is easier to apply to Northwestern State University of Louisiana than to most U.S. universities. With a high acceptance rate, no compulsory SAT/ACT, and liberal deadlines, NSU is international-student-friendly. Transcripts, English proficiency, and general documents are required. It is less competitive, cheaper, and best for students looking for an affordable American education.
