Northeastern Uni Canada has a average class size of just 20 to 30 people, depending on the course. This allows better communication between faculty and students. Students also get a more personalized learning experience. NEU Canada intends to deliver the best learning environment to students.

Yes, students can change their programme at NEU Canada. The process depends on whether a student have already started their classes or are yet to.

Students yet to start classes can change major by contacting the admissions office. Highly competitve programs may require an additional portfolio.

Students already taking classes, need to meet their assigned Academic Advisor and submit a Change of Major Request form.

NEU Canada's Align and Bridge programs (like MS in Computer Science Align) are for students from a non-tech background or with non-STEM UG degrees who wish to transition into high-demand tech fields.

They provide the foundational coursework needed to complete a PG degree without any prior background in tech. These are structured as follows:

  • The Bridge Phase - First 1 to 2 semester are spent building foundational technical, algorithmic, and software design skills.
  • Master's Phase - Once the bridge courses complete, students transition to the standard MS curriculum.

Scholarship deadlines at NEU Canada vary for different financial aid programs. This depends on whether a student is applying for general merit-based or specialised scholarships.

General merit scholarships accept applications in early-Jan for Fall intake and mid-Apr. Specialized scholarships like NU First has a deadline of early Apr/May.

No, a STEM degree is generally not required to pursue PG degree/certification at Northeastern Canada. However, some degrees may require students to take a bridge/pathway program.

These are ideal for students with a non-STEM background interested in a highly technical degree. Some programs may also accept students without a STEM degree/formal pathway program, if they can give a proof of necessary qualifications.

If the Indian students meet the baseline requirement, it is just the first step for Indian students. If the rejections still take place than the factor of the University at Buffalo being too competitive may be the reason.

Below are some of the reasons for rejection -

  • Lack of differentiation
  • Generic SOPs
  • Highly competitive programs
  • Poor academic fit
