Failing or getting a low grade (like a D or F) at Fresno State directly impacts a student's GPA and can lead to loss of financial aid or academic probation. Students are allowed to retake the course and improve their grade in the same.

A GPA of 2.0 is usually considered the bare minimum that students need to study at Fresno State. Falling below this GPA can lead to an Academic Notice/Warning.

Repeatedly failing may lead to academic disqualification.

Yes, Gannon Uni requires all first and second-year UG students (up to their 4th semester) to live as part of university housing facilities. Students may be exempt from this policy if they meet any of the conditions mentioned below:

  • 21 years or older before the start of the academic year
  • Married
  • Have a legal dependent
  • Have lived independently for 2 years (proof required)

Student-athletes receiving athletic scholarships, are required to live on-campus for the first 6 semesters (unless they reside with a parent/guardian within a 25-mile straight-line radius).

No, joining a club or society will not compromise a student's academics at Gannon Uni, as long as one is able to manage their time well. Many societies have strict GPA and study hour requirements for students to clear before being allowed in.

Being a part of a student club/society can have a very positive effect on a student's skills and resume.

Gannon offers several part-time job options to Indian students on campus. These mostly include academic/department tutors, lab assistantships, IT technicians, administrative clerks, and working at recreation centers or managing university events.

Students can apply for the same via Gannon Uni Handshake portal. They'll need to provide a valid employment authorization and application.

Yes, Gannon actively supports Indian students in their search for internships and post-graduation employment. The university does this by providing access to tailored career resources including access to the Handshake portal.

It also uses it's partnerships in the local industries such as Erie Insurance and Big Ideas Learning to help its students gain paid internship roles.

Yes, Gannon Uni offers athletic scholarships to all students (including from India) who meet the NCAA Division II standards along with other academic requirements. The award is granted to students based on their athletic ability. The university coaches assess the same during trials. Based on their recommendations, financial aid is handed out to students.

The financial reward might vary as per the athletic performance levels.

Students are not required to submit a separate scholarship application for most financial aids at Gannon Uni. Students are automatically considered for financial aid based on their admission application.

However, some select scholarships such as the Schuster Memorial Music Award and the Schuster Patron of the Arts do ask for a separate application.

Our Shiksha Study Abroad counsellors can guide students on which scholarship requires a separate application.
