IIT (BHU) Varanasi brags of 14 departments and 3 inter-disciplinary schools. This institute is one of the oldest engineering institutes in India which introduced mechanical, ceramic, electrical  and pharmaceutical engineering in India.The institute has a campus size of over 400 acres and is located in Varanasi. IIT BHU is approved by the UGC and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).Furthermore, it has been ranked 15 among the top Engineering Institutions in NIRF Ranking 2023.

SMS Varanasi provides various undergraduate and postgraduate courses. As per the report, of SMS Varanasi placements the placement record stood at INR 12.5 LPA and INR 3.88 LPA, respectively. And in 2023, 204 MBA students were placed during SMS Varanasi placements 2022. The median package offered to MBA students stood at INR 4.10 LPA . The top recruiters visited during SMS Varanasi placements 2023 included Airtel, FedEx, Dabur, HCL, Wipro, etc.
