Acharya Nagarjuna University Centre for Distance Education (ANUCDE) degrees are valid and recognised by Indian authorities due to their approval by the University Grants Commission (UGC) - Distance Education Bureau (DEB) and university recognition by various bodies like UGC, NAAC, and the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). However, a past controversy involving alleged irregularities in the certification process led to a controversy regarding the acceptance of ANU certificates for government jobs in Telangana state. However, it is valid for educational purposes and most private-sector jobs across India.

Acharya Nagarjuna University Centre for Distance Education has a separate placement and training cell to support students in their job search. 

The cell offers career guidance programs, mock interviews, group discussion training, and communication and technical skill workshops. ANUCDE has a good placement rate of about 82% for their students and offers an average salary package of around 3.5 LPA.
