No, Jadavpur University, a state-run university in West Bengal, does not use the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for undergraduate admissions and conducts its own entrance tests for various departments. Admission to interested students is offered based on university entrance test scores or on the merit of their academic performance. The selection criteria differ from one course to another.

After a comparison of Jadavpur University and Sushant University's fees for the BSc programme, Sushant University charges a fee of INR 1.2 Lacs to INR 5.6 lakh for the BSc course. On the other hand, Jadavpur University charges a variable fee of INR 1.5 Lacs to INR 4.1 lakh, depending on the specialisation provided.

Kalyani Univerisy through its affiliated colleges offers BTech programs. As per Kalyani University cutoff 2024, the specialisations offered by the affiliated colleges were IT, CSE, ECE, and EIE. Moreover, if we talk about Information Technology WBJEE cutoff, the last round stood at 5166, also it was the second-most competitive course after CSE in 2024 for the General All India category candidates.

Jadavpur University WBJEE cutoff 2024 was concluded for admission to BE/BTech/BPharm courses. The cutoff was released for different categories belonging to All India and Home State quota candidates. Among the General AI category candidates, the last round closing ranks varied between 57 and 2917. Therefore, it is possible to get admission to the college at 500 rank at a few specialisations. A few specialisations where the General AI category candidates can get admission were B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering and B.E. in Information Technology (Day).
