Direct admission in IMPS College of Engineering & Technology (IMPSCET) can be obtained through the management quota, which generally gets 10% of the seats. Most seats are filled through entrance exams such as WBJEE and JEE Main, on merit. For management quota seats, the candidates will still have to fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria: clearing 10+2 with a minimum aggregate of 45% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (40% for reserved categories) and a minimum of 30% in English. Therefore, though direct admission is possible, it is limited and subject to eligibility criteria.

IMPS College of Engineering & Technology (IMPSCET) does not give a 100% scholarship to every student. It offers different scholarships mainly for students of West Bengal, such as government-funded stipends like the Talent Support Programme and Swami Vivekananda Merit scholarships. These are merit and need-based scholarships, but usually provide partial tuition or financial assistance rather than full 100% scholarships. Students can apply for the same based on eligibility, but a 100% scholarship for everyone is not promised by the college.
