No, admission to the BTech course at NSHM Durgapur is strictly entrance-based. Students are required to appear for national or state-level entrance exams such as WBJEE/ JEE Main; WBJELET (lateral entry) plus Personal Interview (if any). The institute will shortlist the candidates on the basis of their score in the entrance exams plus further parameters (if any). Hence, one can not join NSHM Durgapur BTech course without appearing for an entrance exam.

With WBJEE 2024, if you are assigned the CS branch at GCECT, then it is possible to take JU or CU in Round2 only that highly competitive. That will be depend on your rank and seats availability. The minimum cutoffs for CS are generally high in JU and CU, so it all depends on whether or not your rank is close to last year's cutoff.
