Jadavpur University maintains a very strict policy of reservations, where 90% of the total engineering seats are reserved for students who hold a domicile certificate of West Bengal. Rest 10% of seats are for students from the rest of India under the All-India quota. The university offers 1,355 seats for the BE course, distributed across 16+ departments.
