Symbiosis College of Arts & Commerce provides 2 special supernumeric seats for Jammu and Kashmir state residents in the BA course. These seats are created over and above the regular sanctioned class strength. The college receives a verified list of selected candidates directly from the state's Higher Education Director.

For me, what makes GIBS special is that it's not just about classes and exams. The college gives you a lot of opportunities to learn, explore, and grow as a person.

When I joined, I was a bit shy and not very confident while speaking in front of others. But slowly, through presentations, workshops, guest sessions, industry visits, and different activities, I became much more confident. It really helped me come out of my comfort zone, and today I feel much more comfortable interacting with people.

This is one of the most common questions and the answer is highly dependent on your situation. If you are close to the cutoff and have strong desire to become a student of one of the top commerce colleges, a drop year is worth giving it a try to improve your 12th. But in case your score is far from the cutoff, it might be a good idea to pursue a good college and study for certifications and other skills apart from maths, Science and commerce subjects. Because even a drop year only works if you have a plan and discipline to follow.
