As per going with current trends and the upcoming future, CSE branch will continue to flourish than any other branches. CSE branch has relatively high placement opportunities which turns to high salary packages relatively to other branches. But there isn't any scope of CSE in government sector. For government sector jobs, ECE should be preferred over CSE any day.

B.Tech in computer Science is surely more preferable if you want to have a good placement. Due to the increasing usage of web and everything shifting online, it is obvious that there is a need of more number of people who can work in IT sector. Hence, good placement opportunities and better salary.

The job scope after doing Diploma and engineering in CSE is same as others. You have to be good at the fundamentals and the basics or else getting a job is not possible. You could do certain certified courses along with your engineering like cloud computing or data Science or SEO (search engine optimization) which is becoming popular now. Also, if possible try to improve your vocabulary skills in English as that has become a must. Spoken English classes are easily available now a days. Of course, if you think your English is up to the mark, that's not an issue. You could also learn a foregin language. That really makes your pr

Judge for yourselves
PROS
1. Permanent Campus.
2. Curriculum.
3. Okayish mess food. CONS
1. Does not follow college culture at all, it resembles more to that of a school. Eg-sending letters to your parents for low attendance and less than 30% marks for a sem.
2. Academics is given way too much importance over Sports.
3. Not all hostels are ready so majority of the students will stay somewhere near the campus.

As far as my knowledge is concern about NIET college this the only college in Delhi NCR with the following features:
recognised by three government Bodies NAAC Grade (A), NBA and NIRF Ranking
Best faculty members, infrastructure, Best Lab facilities, Best Placement activities round the clock
Moreover, NIET management is most concerned about placing each student. For the placement of students NIET was the first institute having Microsoft Innovation Centre in NCR (To provide training to the students as per the industry requirements), Prometric Lab, Mock Preparation, TCS Accredited and many more facilities.

I do not know about the academics in CS. I was from another department. If you choose CS you will definitely get placed, given that you are famous in the college I mean, you should hangout with professors, host programs etc. Yes you will have to pay the college 20 to 25% of your CTC package if I am not wrong. They will have you take a compulsory training before placements and you will have to cough up some 8 to 10k. This is when NHCE was under VTU after they bought the Autonomous status, it is at least ten fold now. Fines for not wearing ID cards is the only place they looted me. Yes, they are money minded. Rumour is that they encroach

Not good enough. Number of companies visited here were very less. Maximum students had to go for off campus placement. Companies which visited here is listed below (my answer may be biased as I am from CSE dept. And I am sharing as much as I know) :
TCS came and selected almost 130 people from various department with package of 3.2 LPA. Then Dynamic Digital Technology came and selected only 6 people with an avg package of 5.2 LPA (all the 6 students got tcs also). Bengal Beverages came and took some mechanical guys. Few companies also came later and selected students from ECE, electrical and mech. Some students got an offer from off cam

You get a placement for sure if have got the basic knowledge in programming languages and have got some good communication skills and should have no backlogs with a minimum of 7.5 to 8 CGPA. But then the packages depends on your luck and the skills you have. Do not expect a high package unless you have exceptional skills and good academic credentials. Good luck.
