Computer Science and Engineering Placement

If you like computer, want to build crazy application or something related to software go with Computer Science engineering. If you like playing with machines/motors or electricity go ahead with Mechanical engineering. Or Electrical engineering. If you are India, after studying Electronics and communication engineering most of the students gets job/work in IT companies. Only few percent gets chance in electronics companies. So I would suggest, better to study Computer Science engineering. If you want to sail through vast sea go with Marine engineering. If you have not decided what you want to do after B.Tech, sit for one or two days and decided what you want to do. If still confused, select any of the engineering mentioned in point # 1, 2 and 3 (Computer Science, Electrical, Mechanical, or Electronics). .

The training and placement wing at the university looks after the training and placement activities on a continuing basis. Around 90-95% of students from CSE/IT department gets placed in some or the other companies. The package could be as low as 2.8 Lacs or it could be high as 25 Lacs (although only 2 students got that in the entire history), but students at least got a job. Few of the reputed (core CSE) companies which visited the campus in the past few years are Adobe, Amazon, HP, Hike Messenger, etc. Other than this, there are certain other companies such as Ivy Computech, Josh Technologies which also provide a handsome salary. The mass recruiters such as Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant visits every year to recruit a bulk of students. Most of the companies which visit the campus are CSE or IT companies so these two branches have a huge number of opportunities here.
