No, studying Mathematics is mandatory for applying for MCA at PES University. Candidates need to pass BCA/ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and Engineering or equivalent degree with at least 50% aggregate to apply for PES MCA course. Aspirants who have completed BA/ BSc/ BCom with Mathematics at Class 12 level or at graduation level (with additional bridge courses as per the norms of concerned university) with at least 50% aggregate can also apply.

Yes, PES University conducts an entrance exam-PESSAT for admission to MCA programme. People's Education Society Scholastic Aptitude Test or PESSAT is a computer-based test of three hours. The question paper includes questions of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English. There will be four different sections wherein Physics and Mathematics sections will encompass 60 questions each and Chemistry and English section will comprise of 40 and 20 questions respectively. Besides, PESSAT, candidates can also get admission to MCA through Karnataka PGCET score.
