The only UG course available to pursue at Coorg Institute of Dental Sciences is BDS. The duration of this course is 5 years and the total tution fees is INR 3.84 lacs. If we calculate year wise fees (3.84/5), it will be around INR 77 thousand. This to be kept in mind that this is only the tution fees and other fees such as hostel, mess etc. are not included in it. The latest cutoff of admissions for MDS in Coorg Institute of Dental Sciences i.e.CIDS mainly depends on the NEET MDS. The cut off generally keeps changing every academic year depending on some parameters like number of applicants, examination standards and number of seats. Essentially, for setting up CIDS, candidates must obtain at least 50th percentile in NEET MDS in order to be considered. However, the exact cutoff marks may be between 350 and 450 depending on the category offered and the year of passing. The deadline to apply to Coorg Institute of Dental Sciences can different in each year usually the last date of application is specified. For BDS and MDS programs, application submission date is normally June or July each year depending on latter's announcement of date and availability of vacant seats. There is a good placement record for the students studying in CIDS, particularly for the BDS students. A majority of the students are placed in private dental clinics as employees, others proceed to do higher studies or specialisation courses. For placement purpose, the placement cell helps and several dental chains, healthcare providers, and other corporate hospitals recruit students from CIDS. Also, in order to be employed there are some students who engage in the setting up of clinics. But placements can be a bit more challenging especially in the leading urban areas.

The Coorg Institute of Dental Sciences (CIDS) has always had standardized refund policy for students who wish to withdraw from the program. If a student withdraws before start of the academic session then whole amount received in fees for the year will be refunded less Rs 1000 towards processing charges. If withdrawal happens before 15 days of the session starting time, 80 % fee will be refunded. For withdrawal between day 16 and the end of the first month, 80% of the fee charged is refundable. The general public is encouraged to directly consult the current refund provisions of the institute .
