Actually it's a confusing process but I will try to answer at my best.
First you need to get a certain score in both internal exams which is combined with your end semester examination and sgpa is calculated.
The ratio is 40 marks obtained in internal exams + 60 marks obtained in end semester examination.
If you fail in internal exam with a single digit number then you cannot pass the subject even if you have a 90+ score in the end semester examinations.
The GPA you get after completing every semester is SGPA, and then after completing all the 8 semesters the average of 8 SGPA is taken and the final CGPA is calculated from the SGPA's that

Actually, the internal exams just adds a 40 marks to your final results.
But it's more important than your semesters as you can easily score in those internal exams by which you can boost your CGPA easily.
The staff will say that 20/50 is a pass mark but actually 14 mark itself means you are pass, but taking mark above 30 is not a difficult task.
Just make sure that you have your marks in both internal exams as a double digit number as failing to obtain a certain score in internal exams leads to fail in the results even you have scored well in your end semester exams.
But keep in mind that none of the engineering aspiring student should ha

Yes, the admissions had started at the month of March itself, it goes till July so if you're not yet applied for the entrance exam kindly apply as soon as possible.
Just study physics, chemistry and maths from your 12th book and that's enough.
You can see the portion details in the official Crescent website.
It will be a online Proctocored exam and you need to answer some 120 questions in 2 hrs .
It is enough to get a pass mark in this entrance exam as your admission process and fee depends on your previous grade mark.
But the seats in CSE might get filled as you are late but don't hesitate to take IT as it's also good as CSE.
All the best.

Actually in B. S. Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science and Technology internal exam is called as CAT (Continuous Assessment Test).
There will be 2 CAT exams in each semester from which 40 marks are calculated at the final CGPA process.
To get a pass in a subject you need a average of 40 marks combining both CAT exams.

Hostel fee varies for various studnets and also depends on the type of room that you choose.
There will be a seperate hostel for men and women.
If you choose a non AC room then the fee will be around 75000 per person and also it reduces as the person in a single room increases.
If two persons occupy a single room then the fee will be around 100000.
It will be a better option to choose a room with 4 students.
