CSEET

CSEET or CS Executive Entrance Test is an entrance examination for CS course conducted by the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI). It is the mandatory examination that has to be taken by the candidates to pursue the CS course. The main objective of CSEET exam is to assess candidates on the basis of foundational and aptitude knowledge. The CSEET exam examines the candidate in the following areas: Business Communication, Legal Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude Economics, Business Environment, and Current Affairs. Previously entry to the CS course had a different route, CSEET was introduced in May 2020. The exam is conducted in remote proctored mode across India. Upon qualifying the CSEET exam, candidates will be able to register for the CS Executive programme and further CS Professional programme.

CSEET registrations under the new syllabus commenced on July 11, 2023. ICSI released the revised CSEET syllabus (under 2022). Candidates registering for the CSEET exam will have to prepare as per the CSEET new syllabus. The first examination under CSEET new syllabus 2022 was conducted in November 2023. The last examination under the old syllabus was conducted in July 2023. As per the revised CSEET syllabus, the viva voce portion will be removed. The question paper will be divided across four sections viz. , 1. Business Communication 2. Legal Aptitude and Logical Reasoning 3. Economic and Business Environment 4. Current Affairs and Quantitative Aptitude.

CSEET is conducted four times in a year- January, May, July and November. The complete schedule of CSEET in a year is as follows: 1. CSEET registration: The registrations for CSEET is open throughout the year. However, the period for particular sessions are as follows: a. October 16 to December 15- January session b. December 16 to April 15- May Session c. April 16 to July 10- July session d. July 11 to October 15- November session 2. Release of admit card: CSEET admit cards are released 10 days prior to the date of examination. 3. CSEET exam schedule a. Saturday/Sunday in second or third Week of January b. Saturday/Sunday in second or third Week of May c. Saturday/Sunday in second or third Week of July d. Saturday/Sunday in second or third Week of November 4. Declaration of result: CSEET result is declared 10 days after the date of examination.

CS Executive Entrance Test CSEET is conducted four times in a year- January, May, July, and November. There is no limitation in appearing for the CSEET exam in a year. However, candidates must note that they will have to register separately for the session they wish to appear for. Therefore, students can appear for the four sessions in a year subject to registration and payment for the CSEET application fee for each attempt. The upcoming CSEET 2025 exam is scheduled to be held on May 03, 2025 for which registrations are ongoing. Candidates willing to appear for the CSEET exam can apply for the May 2025 session examination on or before April 15, 2025.

Candidates appearing for the CSEET exam must take the following precautions: 1. The webcam must be installed in front of the system. The camera must be placed on the top of the monitor. Any other form of camera installation is not permitted. 2. Candidate's face must be fully framed. 3. Candidate's face must be in the center of the webcam and the eye focus and contact should be on screen only. 4. Candidates must ensure that there is enough light in the room and they must sit opposite to the lighting. 5. Hair, clothes, or any other object must not cover the face of the candidate. 6. Sunglasses will not be permitted to be worn out during the examination. 7. Candidates must ensure that there is no presence of any other individual in the exam room. 8. Candidates will not be allowed any bio-breaks between the exam duration. 9. There must be no voices or noises in the background. If found, the candidate will be disqualified. 10. The exam must be taken in a safe exam browser with a full-screen window. Candidates cannot switch to other applications (including another browser/Browser-Tab) or minimize the browser. 11. No other application must be used during the test.
