For admission to the MBA programme, candidates must take the CUET-PG exam and should aim to score well in it as MGKVP inducts candidates for the MBA programme based on valid CUET-PG scores. Candidates can apply for the said exam through the CUET official website powered by the National Testing Agency (NTA) by paying the required application fee for final submission. Candidates having valid CUET-PG scores can apply for the counselling process followed by document verification and fee payment for final seat allotment.

The following are the general eligibility criteria for MBA admission in UP that recognize CUET PG scores:
- Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification in any discipline from a recognised university or institution, with a minimum aggregate of 50%.
- MBA colleges in Uttar Pradesh take into account results from national-level entrance exams such as the CUET PG. Candidates must meet the minimum cutoff scores established by the various colleges.

Candidates need to appear for the CUET PG exam to get admission in some of the PG Diploma courses offered at Indian Institute of Mass Communication. These courses are: PG Diploma in Hindi Journalism, PG Diploma in Radio and TV Journalism (Bilingual- English & Hindi), PG Diploma in Advertising and Public Relations (Bilingual- English & Hindi), PG Diploma in English Journalism and PG Diploma in Digital Media. CUET PG is the accepting exam for AKTU MBA admission. The CUET-PG examination is scheduled to be conducted in March 2026 (tentative). The examination specific details will be informed to candidates through the Information Bulletin of respective examinations, which will be published at the time of launch of the CUET PG Registration Forms.
