Yes, if your interest lies in the field of teaching then you must go for it and make sure that you must have secured an aggregate of 50% in your class 12th examination from any recognised board. Though eligibility criteria differ from college to college you are applying for.

Eligibility for D.Ed is based on 12th qualification, so you can apply for Diploma in Elementary Education while in case of B.Ed candidates need to pass Bachelors Degree in any discipline from a recognised university with 50% aggregate (this may vary depending on universities).
