DY Patil College of Engineering Akurdi is little better than DY Patil College of Engineering Pimpri. Mechanical Engineering of DY Patil College of Engineering Akurdi is NBA Accredited. Also, the college is NAAC Accredited with 'A' Grade. Also, it was established in 1984.DY Patil Institute of Technology is also NAAC Accredited with 'A' Grade. And It's 5 Programs are NBA Accredited. Also, DY Patil Institute of Technology Pimpri is Mentee Institute of COEP, Pune under AICTE Margdarshan Scheme. So if you are getting any of these two, take it. They both are good. In case you don't get your desired college, don't settle for something mediocre college. Instead of settling down for some mediocre college, it would be better if you try for some good private university. Many reputed private universities are offering B.Tech CSE. They have their different criteria for admissions. Some offer admission on basis of JEE scores, some offer admission on basis of their own tests and some offer admission on the basis of both. Some even offer direct admission on basis of class 12 marks. Some of the universities also offer scholarships on basis of your performance in class 12 or JEE or even during the course. You can check the details of any of the reputed universities like VIT, Lovely, SRM, etc. All these universities have a wonderful infrastructure and world-class facilities to offer to students apart from good placements.
