Eligibility for BE Courses (Day Engineering Institutions)- The min percentage mark for SC/ST candidates is 40% and the eligibility for BE Courses (Evening Engineering Institutions)- The min percentage marks for SC/ST candidates is 40%. Admissions under the reserved category will be made in flavour of the candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tries and Other Backward Classes of citizens under categories 1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B in accordance with the Government Order No.

Candidates who have passed the Diploma or who are waiting for their results will be eligible to apply for DCET 2024. Candidates must have a minimum of 45% marks in the 5th and 6th semesters combined to be eligible to fill out the application form. The minimum percentage mark for SC/ST candidates is 40%.

DCET is an entrance exam held for admissions into the 2nd-year undergraduate engineering programmes and 1st-year undergraduate architecture programmes offered under the lateral entry scheme. DCET is Diploma Common Entrance Test which is conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). These programmes are offered at day and evening engineering colleges located in Karnataka. Candidates must have passed a Diploma or equivalent exam to appear for DCET. DCET 2024 will be conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority in September 2024, tentatively.
