No, you cannot challenge the DCET cutoff. The cutoff marks or ranks are typically determined by the exam conducting authority based on various factors, and they are considered final and non-negotiable. The cutoff is set to establish a minimum standard for eligibility for admission to Diploma courses. The cutoff marks are calculated based on the performance of all the candidates who appeared for the DCET exam and other relevant factors like the total number of applicants, the difficulty level of the exam, the number of available seats, and previous years' cutoff trends.

If your rank is below the DCET cutoff, it is unlikely that you will be eligible for direct admission to the Diploma courses through the regular counselling process. The cutoff is the minimum qualifying rank or score set by the exam conducting authority, and candidates who score below it may not be considered for admission through the standard selection process. However, some colleges might have management or vacant seat quotas, where candidates with lower ranks could have a chance of admission.
