DEED

To be considered for admission to the BDes program, the candidate's age should not exceed 22 years as of 31^st July in the year of application. In case of the MDes program, the applicants should be more than 20 years of age and less than or equal to 25 years of age as of 31^st July of the year of applying. Candidates will be considered for admission to the design courses on the basis of DEED scores.

Note that if the candidate doesn't meet the prescribed eligibility, his or her candidature could be cancelled at any stage of the admission process.

The documents required to fill the DEED Application form are given below.

• Passport sized photograph 
• Soft copy of Class X Marksheet
• Soft copy of Class XII Marksheet
• Soft copy of graduation Marksheet (if applicable)

• Go to website of DJ Academy of Design
• Click on Admissions link
• Enter details and complete the application form
• Upload documents
• Pay application fee to complete process.

The DEED application form is open for the current session. The application form is open online at the DEED 2026 admission portal. Candidates who want to apply for admission will have to register, apply and pay the application fee in order to appear in the entrance exam.

Applications submitted via offline mode will not be accepted. Also, make sure that applications are submitted before the last date.

Candidates should have passed class 12 in any stream from a recognised board with aggregate 50% marks to take admission in Bachelor of Design course. For Master of Design, candidates should have Bachelor's degree in any stream with an aggregate 50% marks. Candidates appearing in last semester of their Bachelor's degree can also apply. 

Candidates will be given admission in BDes and MDes courses on the basis of:

1. DEED 2026 entrance exam
2. Shortlisted candidates have to next appear in a personal interview, which comprises a Portfolio Review round.

The final merit list will be prepared by considering both the factors.

The DJ Academy of Design, Coimbatore, offers admission to both BDes and MDes courses. Popluar specializations to pick from inlcude Industrial Design and Communication Design. 

Admission to these courses will be through the DEED 2026 merit rank. During the allotment of seats, higher ranked candidates will be given preference.
