It is a great career option. Great employment opportunities are available for dentists in dental departments in hospitals, nursing homes, dental clinics and health departments.
Apart from this, as a dentist you can seek work in the research and advisory departments of pharmaceuticals. Opportunities are there in companies producing oral care products like toothpaste, mouth wash, and gum care products.
If you want to go for higher studies then you may consider MDS in specialisations like Periodontology, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopaedics, Prosthodontics & Crown and Bridge, Paediatric & Preventive Dentistry, Oral Pathology etc.
Pursue your BDS course from best colleges which have good facilities and provide good exposure like Lady Hardinge ,AIIMS, Maulana Azad, ACMS, Santosh University etc. And you will get good opportunities ahead. All the best!

You can enter into Canada for a health care management diploma program or any other related non clinical programs. While doing this you can file your application for dental council registration. They will call you for interview and based on your qualification and experience that will ask you to go through overseas dental program that is for 100 hours or 200 hours to work under a dentist. on completion of this you will be asked to write a competency exam. once you are through in the exam if you have IELTS academic over all 7 band and in all components 7 band you will registered as dentist over there. Only after this s you can work as dentist and also you can do your masters

Salary is a function of various factors - i.e. (i) the institute where you have completed your B.Tech + M.Tech. e.g. a graduate from a top institute will command a higher salary. (ii) Your work experience - organization and type of work profile (iii) city - a metropolitan city will have higher salaries as compared to smaller cities and towns. (iv) Your current organization - i.e. where you will be joining - an MNC usually has higher salaries as compared to other organizations. (v) Your work profile i.e. Manager/ AVP, etc. Thus one cannot allocate a figure.
