No, you cannot take admission in B.Des in any college or university without giving an entrance exam. All the institutes shortlist the candidates for admission on the basis of their aptitude for the selected course.

Hi Hema,
According to the UGC rules, a student cannot do two UG courses at the same time. Only one course can be done so you have to decide because fashion designing is also a graduation course.

You should not limit your search to only Coimbatore but to entire India. Most of the institutes offer certificate & diploma courses in game design. Many of them are not even affiliated to any university. Look for colleges such as MIT, Pune, DSKIC Pune, Artemisia College of Art & Design, Indore (Govt. University), which offer 3-4 years duration in-depth degree courses in Game design. NID Ahemdabad offers Masters degree in Game Design. Do not confuse Game Design with Game programming. You can choose a stream of your liking. Eligibility: Candidates must have a 10 + 2 or Intermediate in any discipline. Students must be fluent in English with strong communication skills and must have aptitude for design. You will need a minimum of 50% in your class 12th to qualify for successful application to this course.
