Yes, you can take admission in several PG level courses like PGD in Direction, PGD in Screenwriting and Direction etc.

There is no subject requirement for a Direction course. The only requirement is a zest for filmmaking and storytelling.

No. The director is the in charge of the camera and the cinematographer is in charge of making it happen. 

Exposure which is basically the technique of altering camera settings to achieve the intended look of an image is one of the most important problem that the cinematographers face.

Cinematographers are responsible for the visual execution of the director's vision. They collaborate with the director to achieve the desired look and feel of the film.

Yes, there are good colleges in India for Film Direction. Whistling Woods offer the course but at a high fees of Rs 5 Lakhs to 25 Lakhs. Other than this, the following colleges are also very good for graduation and Diploma in the field of film direction:

  • Film and Television Institute of India, Pune providing various 1 to 3 year Certificate and Diploma courses. The fees ranges around Rs 1.25 Lakhs approximately.
  • Satyajit Rai Film and Television Institute, Kolkata providing various filmography courses with fees around Rs 1.50 Lakhs approximately.
  • LV Prasad Film and TV academy, Chennai with fees ranging from Rs 2.5 Lakhs to 4.45 Lakhs.
