I would suggest going for mechanical in KJ Somaiya because mechanical has always got higher preference than Prod as far as I know. Secondly KJ is already a deemed university. Deemed university means it is no longer under the rules of Mumbai University so when you pass you are said to be from KJ Somaiya University instead of Mumbai University. If we have a look at surveys then KJ Somaiya ranks higher than DJ Sanghvi which might be a reason for you to choose it.

There is no institute, which provides placement for DJing course. The institute is good, you can take admission and learn a lot.

Hi Mukesh,
For becoming a Disc Jockey, currently, there are no colleges or universities that offer full-time programmes or courses with a defined syllabus or course curriculum in DJ training or development. However, there are many private institutes and training centers that have sprung up across India mainly in Mumbai, Delhi (NCR), Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Kolkata that offer short duration courses in DJ development and other related skills such as:
Pro DJ Training and Development courseDigital Live DJ'ing courseAudio Engineering course
Most of these institutes have been set up by DJs themselves:
1. I Love Music Academy, Gurgaon
2.

First of all cut off depends solely on the highest number of marks obtained by an individual and it changes every year accordingly. But looking at the past records you need a minimum 110 to secure a seat in DJ Sanghvi whereas around 100 would do for KJ Somaiya. Secondly DJ Sanghvi provides you a BE degree whereas KJ Somaiya will give you a BTech degree. Labs are really clean and tidy in both these colleges. Also I would like to tell you is look how convenient a college is for you in terms of travelling purposes. I would suggest you to read the reviews of both the colleges and then take the best decision. Hope this helps. All the best!

Hi Rashmi,
If you are passionate about music and love entertaining the crowd by playing and mixing music tracks, disk jockey could be a career option worth pursuing. Once considered as just a fad in India, it slowly staked its claim as a viable career with multiple options and good money to make. All you need is to have an ear for music, be well versed with cueing, equalization and audio-mixing, beat-matching, scratching and beat juggling.
A wannabe DJ must also have an outgoing personality, ability to mix with people and know their mood. He must be well versed with the music in vogue I. e. the hit songs, how to make them trendy by mixi
