I would suggest that if it is practically possible for you then you must go for the regular mode of education and not distance education. However, if you insist on opting for the distance learning due to personal reasons then make sure that IIBM has a learning centre in your city or at a place where you can frequently attend classes.

Distance mode is not permitted rather MBA in tourism management through distance is possible. Ph.d requires research and devotion of quality time for the specialisation.

One of the best colleges for distance learning is UPES, Dehradun. My cousin shifted to Dubai after completing her graduation and opted for MBA in power management through distance from UPES. She had a great experience and also got placed in a reputed company.

You do not get any special treatment or weightage by doing MBA in distance mode or by doing from institute other than top 50. You need to search job on your own and need to prove your caliber.

You need to have at least 55% in your Master's degree and you need to search for the institute offering the course. You also have to apply for the entrance exam and need to submit your research proposal.
