Both are very good universities. IGNOU is a central government approved university, whereas Annamalai is also a government university, it is approved by the University Grants Commission. If you are planning to do MBA then you should go to Annamalai University because they don't ask for experience letter and you don't need to attend any entrance exam.

For MBA admission, you must be a graduate in any discipline. But, some universities admit Diploma holders with adequate experience for their executive MBA programs.

Your question is not clear. Can you be little specific?

Amity, ICFAI and IGNOU are better than SMU by a far margin. The SMU is the worst University to pursue any course now. Even their recognition was revoked but later reinstated.

The duration for the course you are enquiring that is for M.Ed is 2 years. And, you can check it in IGNOU. May be, you can get it there.

There are universities dedicated to distance education in our country such as IGNOU, ICFAI, SMU etc. Many state and central universities through their directorates of distance education offer distance education programmes.
