Dr D.Y. Patil Institute of Engineering Management and Research (DYPIEMR) eligibility criteria for the B.Tech course are:
- Passed HSC (Class 12) or an equivalent exam with Physics and Mathematics as mandatory subjects.
- Obtained a minimum of 45% aggregate marks (40% aggregate for reserved category).
- Admission is entry-based, primarily through valid scores in JEE Main or MHT CET.

The eligibility criteria for B.Tech at DYPIEMR are as follows:
- The candidate should be an Indian National.
- The candidate should have passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical or Vocational subjects.
- The candidate should have obtained at least 45% marks (at least 40% marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together.
