As is it a public university that means it is a state/ central government university. For this they rules and regulations in intake in not only btech, all courses in this university have limited seats. This university has an intake of 60 in under graduation that means B.Tech and also intake of 30 in post graduation for civil engineering. Admissions to the courses are being made through Uttar Pradesh State Engineering Entrance Examination.

As we all know that civil engineering is a core branch, now a days core branches do not have high packages except iits, nits and other premier universities in India. Day by day demand for civil engineering also decreasing due to abnormal increase in demand for computer science. So by considering all this issues, the average package for B.Tech Civil Engineering students at Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University is very low. The average package is around 2 LPA and the highest is around 5 LPA

In terms of placements for Bachelor of technology (B.Tech) in civil engineering at Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University is just ok. From Semester 7th and 8th students are eligible for placement. Around 10 to 15 companies are visited for placement with low intake and package. But it is less when compared to other high-class level colleges. 5 lac per annum is the highest placement for civil department. I found that many students select this university for civil engineering for IES examination only.

Getting admission in Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University for course Master of Technology (M.Tech) is not easy, it is moderate to hard to get admission for M.Tech. Eligibility for admission is Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the relevant field. For getting seat in M.Tech, you need to attempt GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) and Obtained at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) at this qualifying Examination. I think getting 50% marks in GATE is not at all a easy task.
