Durgapur Government College has below criteria for taking admissions to it's various courses:
| Courses | Eligibility |
|---|---|
| B.Com | Candidate passed 12th/equivalent with qualifying marks from any recognised institute/board are eligible to apply. or Candidate passed 12th/equivalent in Vocational examination with qualifying marks from any recognised institute/board are eligible to apply. |
| B.Sc. | Candidate can take Honours in Chemistry if they have passed in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics at the previous qualifying examination. |
| B.A. | Candidate passed 12th/equivalent with qualifying marks from any recognised institute/board are eligible to apply. or Candidate passed 12th/equivalent in Vocational examination with qualifying marks from any recognised institute/board are eligible to apply. |
