13.7 % GDP & 57% emloyment is coming from Agriculture
Agriculture is the principal source of raw material to the industries like Sugar, Paper, textile, handloom, food processing, diary, etc.
A Human being cannot live without food. We can survive without technology but can't without food so agriculture is very important for every country or society.
World population is expected to reach 10.5 billion by 2050. This increase translates into 33% more human mouths to feed and food supplies would need to increase by 60% in order to meet the food demand in 2050.

In India, only BITS Pilani has a dual degree program where you can do engineering degree and humanities degree simultaneously. You can appear for BITSSAT examination after 10+2 stage with PCM subjects. You can choose any branch of engineering and simultaneously do M.Sc in economics.

Can you specify the name of the country? Generally, the universities have their own scholarship schemes and they award them to the most outstanding candidate. They are merit-based.
