Hello Sachin, as per my experience of government job exams, there are different government exams but only very few are exclusively for Economics. If you are interested then you can go for School Service Commission or College Service Commission Exams those are held for different subjects. Other than that there are very few exams of Agricultural sector amd Economic Affair Department that may require an Economics graduate. You can also try for UPSC, SSC, IBPS to increase your chances of getting a good job. All the best. You can further search all the government websites and see if there are any vacancies as of now.

M.Sc Economics graduates are in good demand in today's job market, you can get a good salary and expect it to increase exponentially with time.

It depends on your skills on the field that you have choose then you will get definitely good placement in Kolkata. And, the placement are good.
