It depends from college to college. But the cutoff for B.A. Economics goes about 98 to 99 % every year. Besides there may be entrance exams for which eligibility criteria can be only 45 to 55%.

For admission in M.A. Economics programme, candidates must have a Bachelors Degree in any discipline securing at least 50 per cent marks aggregate, with knowledge of Mathematics at 10+2 level. Candidates belonging to Science & Technology disciplines should have a minimum of 55 percent marks.

Aggregate is calculated with 4 subjects at +2 level including the compulsory subjects as indicated in the eligibility criteria for application and the subjects having the maximum marks from the rest of the subjects.
