That's a great thing you should definitely do the course. But, while doing it from distance you have to clear the cut off list of the college you are going to choose.

Yes, you can do PGD in HR after doing B.A. in economics. You just need a minimum of 50% marks in any Bachelors degree to get eligible for PGD in HR.

Admission to Christ University (Deemed to be University) is done on the basis of merit scored in previous qualifying exam, skill assessment and personal interview except for BBA BHM B.Com (H), B.Com (Professional), B.Com (International Finance), M.Sc. In Mathematics and B.A. In Media Studies, Communication and Media, Economics, Political Science, Sociology, History, English, Psychology, Journalism. The University conducts its own entrance test for the above mentioned programmes. Post the first phase of screening process, selected candidates are invited for Skill Assessment, Micro Presentation and Personal Interview rounds.

If you're going for Economics (Hons) then maths is compulsory but yes, you can take Economics as an elective subject if you are not a Maths student.

Guru Nanak Dev University Admission Process
GNDU admission process varies from course to course. Thus, candidates are offered admission in few courses on the basis of an entrance exam and for others on the basis of their marks in the qualifying examination.
The syllabus for the entrance test is consist of four sections :
1. General Maths
2. English
3. Logical reasoning
4. General Knowledge
You can dowload the sample papers from the website of the college or buy books from the market to do practice .

Some faculty members are highly experienced and have good teaching skills. Placements: Companies visiting our college to offer placements are average. The college authority is working hard to invite good companies. There is an active placement cell in the college which is managed by students most of the time. The average salary package offered was 2 LPA to 3 LPA. Students hardly get internships from this college. In RDS department, you have to do a 6-week internship with a well-known organisation. This includes our course. If you perform well, that particular organisation will offer you placement. Every one of our seniors got placed. T
