It's really admirable that you want to pursue economics.I myself had econ in my 12th. So, the steps are:
1. You need mathematics in your 12th standard
2. Get your Bachelor's degree in Economics (B.Sc/BA in Economics).
3. Get your Masters degree in economics
4. After that, you have to crack NET and get your PhD in economics.
Some colleges also absorb Masters candidates as lecturers. It's a long way from your +2 to being a lecturer. But, surely, your zeal to learn will help you find your way. I hope to see you someday on that podium.
