Dear Mohammad, I am not sure if you will find a Masters in VLSI. The subjects you mentioned are part for electronics and communication. Take a look at University of Melbourne, The Australian National University, The University of Sydney, RMIT University, Queensland University of Technology (QUT) and The University of New South Wales (UNSW Australia). Please check the Australian ranking table to get a list of the best universities in the continent.

Hi Damana,
You can check the admission requirements of the university you are applying to. Certain universities require applicants to mention the specialisation at the time of application. In this case, you must mention about VLSI. If not, there is no need to specify.

There is still a large demand for MS VLSI graduates in electronics chip & computer systems manufacturers in both design and manufacturing roles. Some of the international chip design and manufacturing companies have their design centres in India where you can also get good job. It is a right & excellent decision to MS in VLSI in USA university.

Hello Aditya,
Please be specific about the university
If you meant about Texas A&M College station, then your GRE score should be 325+ with 100+ in TOEFL. You should have 78% and above in Bachelors.
In case of Texas A&M Kingsville, the competition is pretty less. GRE score between 295-300 will be sufficient.
Texas A&M Corpus Christi is much more easier to get in.
All the best!

Rather than following your peers and getting worried about it, identify your passion, interest and ability. If you think, you can make your mark in VLSI then go ahead for it. IT is of course most sought after branch but not everyone is getting a job, so decide wisely.
