Chitkara University does not provide any aditional entrance examination for addmition. There are two main criterias for B.Tech. First of all, the candidates must pass their 10+2 with a minimum of 60% marks of the total marks (mandatory subjects are Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) in any stream. And secondly candidates are required to appear in national-lavel entrance examination, for example JEE Main (mandatory for 2023 batch).

BTech course contains 8 semesters and each semesters is of 6 months. Within a semester students have to give 3 internals and a external exam. And from those 3 internal exams best of two will be taken so if you fail in just one internal then it's fine as you can cover it in two other attempts. In case you fail in two or three then this will effect your academic result (CGPA) may be you have to give the exam again which also said as backlog. And you have to clear it for siting in an interview.

Chitakara University is one of the biggest Private universities with over 10 courses. In total of all course's student there are over 20,000+ students and 2500 faculty members as per google. Truely speaking there are a lot of students pursuing their BTech degree from Chitkara University. I am not sure about the numbers but as for Engineering there are over 2,500 to 3000 students including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year student (probably). There are different sections and there are 40 to 50 students in one section.

Though I am not a professional, here are some tips for a better campus life

For Study: As for first year there will be a less pressure for studies, so go for the basics and learn it strongly. Every day 4 hour of coding is mandatory, keep doing coding.

For Campus: Besides studies take some time to explore the campus also make friends. Also participate in curriculum activities such as hackathon. And you should apply for clubs as it will help you in the time of interviews to show your skills.
