Each year, following the conclusion of the admissions process, the Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) announces the cutoff for the Integrated M.Tech. in Software Engineering course. The closing rank for students in the General Category was 14,000 when the 2021 cutoff for this course was made public in the month of August. Every year, the cutoff scores change depending on a number of variables, including the number of open seats, the difficulty level of the test, and the number of applications. Candidates who are aspiring for admission to top private/government colleges must have a rank below 40,000 in the entrance test. It is expected that the candidates with a percentile 70 or above in the MHT CET 2023 will be awarded a rank of 40,000 or above.

Dear Student, Vellore Institute of Technology is a private deemed university with a rank of 9 under the Engineering category (NIRF). It offers a 5-year integrated postgraduate programme (MTech in software engineering).
As of now, there is no entrance exam-based criteria for this particular course. To be eligible, you must have passed the Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the State or Central Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with a 65% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM).
It does have a merit-based fee structure as follows:
Category 1 tuition fee (1-3 years): INR 96,000
Category 2 tuition
As of now, there is no entrance exam-based criteria for this particular course. To be eligible, you must have passed the Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the State or Central Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with a 65% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM).

All the softwares are installed in the computers in computer labs . You can access them through your I'd card and login credentials of your computer login. Then only you can access them in CB labs.

The placements are very good in VIT. About 98% students got placed and the remaining will go for abroad for higher studies. And the highest package is 70 LPA Average package is 5 LPA.

EEE branches also have many opportunities. Don't miss the chance in VIT. You can also go abroad for Masters. The placement Percentage is 98%. It's a very good branch.

Chemical Engineering from ICT is definitely very reputed. VIT Vellore is good too and will give you a lot of exposure as you will be in a hostel and be surrounded by people from each and every part of the country. ICT is better but VIT is better with respect to the experience.

He cannot get admission in VIT-Vellore campus as students should have less than 1,00,000 rank to get admission in Vellore, Chennai and Amravati campus. Your son can get admission in Bhopal campus.
