With an 85 percentile in JEE Mains, securing a CSE seat at VIT Vellore or Chennai is highly unlikely, especially for the main campus. While VIT does consider JEE Main scores, the cutoffs for CSE in Vellore and Chennai are generally much higher, typically requiring a percentile above 95. Your score might be more suitable for VIT Bhopal or VIT Amaravati, or other private colleges with lower cutoffs.
