In TNEA, selection shall be made under seven categories namely OC, BC, BCM (BC Muslim), MBC & DNC, SC, SCA and ST following the rule of reservation of Government of Tamil Nadu as follows.

Yes. This scheme is applicable in Self-Financing Engineering Colleges and Self-Supporting courses in Government Aided Engineering Colleges only that participae in the TNEA counselling. AICTE Tuition fee waiver scheme is applicable for B.E./B.Tech. courses only. Seats up to a maximum of 5 percent of sanctioned intake per course may be available under the scheme. Tuition fee waiver under First Graduate scheme is provided by Government whereas, AICTE TFW scheme is provided by the Management of the Institution. Sons and daughters of parents whose annual income is less than Rs.8.0 lakhs from all sources shall only be eligible under this sch

No, BTech seats cannot be availed of without the entrance exam at XIM University. Admission into UG programmes at XIM University, including BTech, is based on the JEE Main scores. Furthermore, admission to the BTech course is based on registration for the JEE Main, appearing for the examination, and obtaining a valid score. Subsequently, the seats are allotted by JoSAA counselling, based on merit, that too with regard to JEE Main scores, in multiple rounds.

The total number of seats for BTech offered by XIM University is 120 for the academic year 2024. Although, for the admission process, candidates have to mandatorily register through the JoSAA councelling for BTech seat allocations.
