Some institutes admit on the basis of GATE while others take their own entrance test. Some colleges also consider graduation scores and give admission on merit. You should make sure to meet the minimum eligibility criteria, which is usually getting at least 55% marks in your BTech degree.

Another important step is to fill out the college application forms and also give relevant entrance tests (if applicable). Most of the universities will require a good score in entrance exams to give you admission to the M Tech part time course.
