Mechanical Engineering was among the easier branches, with an initial Round 1 closing rank of 108,867. The final cutoff was 251,507. If you compare to CSE or Aeronautical Engineering, it provides a much broader rank cushion.

Round 1 closing rank in Aeronautical Engineering was 56,940 in 2025. By the final round, the closing rank was 97,687. It suggests that, though easier than Computer Science and Engineering, Aeronautical engineering is a popular specialised course.

A straight answer: if your goal is less academic load + decent career options, then among CSE, ECE, EE, the usual reality is:
- CSE (Computer Science) → the lightest relative load (more logic + coding, less hardcore physics/math hardware)
- ECE (Electronics & Communication) → Medium load (mix of coding + electronics, can get tough)
- EE (Electrical Engineering) → the heaviest load (core physics, circuits, math-heavy, more demanding)

The applications for IPU CET start from February first week for various courses. The application deadline is usually around last week of April. The exam is conducted from first to third week of May. However, the mentioned dates are to subject to vary. Students have to pay a registration fees of INR 2,500.

No, JEE Mains is not a mandatory entrance exam for ICFAI School of Architecture BArch admission.as candidates can also appear in NATA to qualify for this course as well. Selection can be done on the basis of either exam's result.
