Greetings!
Yes, you can get into NIT or Mit college with 80%.
If your percentile score is 80%, it appears thatyou will meet the cutoff for the OBC, SC, ST, and PwD categories, but not for the General or EWS categories.
For General you woud be require 93 percentile and for EWS you woud be require 81 percentile.
For more accurate and the latest information please visit the official website of their colleges or by contacting the admission office.

Congratulations Tanish for scoring 98.9 percentile in JEE Mains paper 2. 98.9 percentile is a good score and you will get into SPA Vijayawada. For reserved category percentile vary from 90-95 percentile. Considering your score, you have great chance of converting it. There is no clear OBC rank vs percentile available. Although at 98.9 percentile the general rank will be around 11000.
Hope this answer helps.

With an OBC rank of 16995 in JEE Main, you have a good chance of getting admission to several National Institutes of Technology (NITs) for the B.Tech Civil Engineering program.
Some of the NITs where you are likely to get a seat with this rank include:
- NIT Rourkela
- NIT Warangal
- NIT Durgapur
- NIT Surathkal
- NIT Raipur
- NIT Kurukshetra
The exact allotment will depend on factors like the number of seats available, the competition, and the cut-offs in the particular year. But with a rank in the range of 16,000-20,000, you should be able to secure admission to a good NIT for Civil Engineering

The Choice between civil engineering and mechanical engineering depends on personal interests and career goals. Civil engineering focuses on infrastructure development, construction and environmental sustainability. Mechanical engineering deals with machines, manufacturing processes and design. Both fields offer a variety of career opportunities and are important in different industries. Consider factors such as passion, aptitude and labor market demand when making your decision. Ultimately, the best field is the one that matches your interests and career aspirations.

With a JEE Mains rank of 4.5 Lacs and an EWS rank of 70,000, consider colleges like Chandigarh University, Punjab Engineering College (PEC) and Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology (TIET). Although getting into top institutions can be difficult at this value, these colleges offer quality education and decent internship opportunities. Research their entry criteria, thresholds and fee structures. Also check Punjab State Engineering Colleges and Private Institutes for Admissions.
