There is no official announced Duolingo English Test eligibility:

• Age Limit: No official age limit fixed. However, applicants less than 13 years need parental consent.
• Educational Background: Students from any educational background can appear in DET test.

These are the only two points related to eligibility of Duolingo English Test.

The validity of Duolingo English Test score is 2 years. For example, if you received your test score on January 01, 2024 then this score card will be valid till January 01, 2026. After two years, you won't be able to share your scorecard to any university or other third parties.

The difficulty level of any exam depends on individual strengths and weaknesses. It's often perceived that the Duolingo English Test is easier than IELTS Exam. Here are some reasons behind this:

1. Duolingo English Test is shorter than IELTS exam.

You will receive your Duolingo English Test results within 48 hours of completing the test. Apart from this, You can get your Duolingo scorecard in just 12 hours also but for that, you need to opt for Faster Results option. 

Fee for Duolingo faster result is USD 39 (INR 3,273).

Yes, meeting the English language requirements is one of the major University of New Hampshire at Manchester eligibility criteria for international students. The minimum IELTS score requirement for a Bachelor of Engineering at the Unitec Institute of Technology is 6.0. Writing and speaking scores must not be lower than 6.0 and listening band must not be less than 5.5. Unitec Insitute of Technology offers separate eligibility score for different programs. Santa Clara University requires international students to show proof for English language proficiency through IELTS. The required band for IELTS is 6.5. However, students can also appear for other English tests such as TOEFL, or Duolingo. The required score for TOEFL is 90 and that of Duolingo is 110. Applicants should submit test scores and other documents by the deadline.
