Benefits of pursuing MBA for Engineers
While engineering helps students in honing their analytical and mathematical skills, a managerial course makes them adept at fulfilling job roles in fields like investment banking, consulting, equity research and various other disciplines that require data analysis and business intelligence.
By learning the concepts of management, engineering managers are able to handle a team of engineers who are passionate about technology. Just being well-read doesn't work in the field of management. It's of prime importance that the managers develop the necessary people skills to coach, mentor and motivate technology professionals.

Many engineers are now taking to the path of entrepreneurship and bringing waves in the business landscape of the country. Engineers who choose MBA for future studies tend to have an edge over others as they get to explore both their technological as well as managerial side. This journey seems smooth from the outside but the reality says something else. After completing MBA, they have to face cut-throat competition from engineering graduates and other under graduate students.
Pursuing MBA after graduating in engineering adds another feather to ones cap of achievements. Students have a multitude of opportunities after completing their graduation in engineering. They can go for M.Tech and then pursue Ph.D. in their specific domains. They can also get a decent job in this sector. In short they are spoilt for choice. An MBA degree works wonders for such engineers who are confused as to which route they should take. Both are not good. Although TISS started MA in social Entrepreneurship and TISS is a reputed institute in India for social work, it has not got so much reputation for its social Entrepreneurship. same is case with its LLM program and in other hand I don't think ISB offers social Entrepreneurship course.
