NIELIT Chandigarh accepts various entrance exams for admission in the PG Diploma course. The institution works under the administrative control of Ministry of electronics and information technology. Here is the list of different entrance exams data are accepted by NIELIT Chandigarh for the different PG Diploma courses:

  • NIELIT's own entrance exam (NIELIT CCC/BCC)

  • JEE Mains

  • State-level entrance exams (e.g., Punjab CET)

The institution follows the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) conducted by Anna University for undergraduate engineering programs. NIFT is a national-level design entrance exam conducted by the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT). The exam is conducted once every year and has TWO parts: Written Exams - It comprise the GAT and CAT. The GAT paper is mandatory for all programs, while only B.Des and M.Des candidates need to take the CAT. The exam is generally in objective form having general ability, general knowledge and mathematics question. Paper Carry negative marks for each answer wrong .

School of Petroleum Technology at Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University accepts only Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main scores for admission to its B.Tech programs. There is no alternative entrance exam accepted. For the B.Sc. (Hons.) program, students must have passed the 12th standard examination from any recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology. Additionally, students with less than 70% score in the respective board examination at the time of admission will not be eligible for admission.

A minimum of 50% on the test, or higher Graduation CGPA 60 percentile or higher on the MAT, CAT, XAT, GMAT, KMAT, or CMAT.
